Hooked on
Books One will meet on
February 9th in
the Town Center.
The book choice
for this month is “Room” by Emma Donohue; the
leader will be Sara Kearney.
To fine year old Jack, Room is the entire world. It
is where he was born and grew up. It’s where he lives
with his Ma as they learn and read and eat and sleep
and play. At night, his Ma shuts him safely in his
wardrobe, where he is meant to be asleep when Old
Nick visits.
Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic
five year old Jack, Room is a celebration of resilience and
the limitless bond between parent and child.
Please call or email Marge Wisniewski if you are
planning to attend – and if you are interested in lunch at
Railhead before the meeting.

-------------------------
Hooked on Books2 will meet on Thursday April
7th in the card room in the Town Center at 7:00 pm. The
club will be meeting on the first Thursday of each
month with the exception of July and August.
Lori Mueller will lead the discussion of “The
Forgotten Garden” by Kate Morton. As Morton draws
you through a thicket of secrets that spans generations,
her story could cross into fairy tale territory if her
characters weren’t clothed in such complex flesh, their
judgment blurred by the heady stench of emotions
(envy, lust, pride, love) that flourished in the glasshouse
of Edwardian society.
New members are welcome. Please contact Marge
Wisniewski at margewise@gmail.com or 948-3930 if
you are interested in joining the group.

Dining with Friends
If you enjoy casual dining, cooking and eating good food with friends and neighbors, Dining with Friends is the group for you. And you don’t have to be a gourmet cook to join! How does it work? An organizer / primary hostess has been chosen for each of the winter months (below). A second hostess has also been chosen should the number of participants exceed 6 or 8 people. The primary hostess plans the menu and each participating couple selects the portion of the meal that she / he will prepare. It’s that simple. The host couple provides wine, beer or mixed drinks before dinner and coffee afterwards. The cost of the ingredients purchased, including the dinner wine is divided equally among the couples. If you want to join the group contact Sara Kearney 239-495-1615 sararuthkearney@hotmail.com or Dorothy DeCastro 239-390-9417:
