going to start at the original Railhead Cafee on the southeast corner of Bonita Beach Road and Imperial Boulevard. We will proceed north to Coconut Point Mall. We will carpool
from the Bocce
Court parking lot to our starting location at
10:00 am and will
have lunch at the
original Railhead Cafe. If you have any questions

Hooked On Books (Book Club)
Each month the book club reviews a new book under the guidance of a member of the group.
Hooked on Books is open to all VillageWalk residents.

Discussion of “South of Broad” by Pat Conroy will
be led by Lois Strock on August 11th.
Set in Charleston, S.C., South of Broad gives us a
unique cast of sinners and saints. Leopold King is the
son of an amiable, loving father who teaches science at
the local high school His mother, an ex-nun is the high
school principal. After Leo’s older brother commits
suicide, Leo searches for something to sustain him.
“Winter Garden” by Kristen Hannah is the subject of
the September 8th meeting of Hooked on Books. Joan
Cleneay will lead us in discussing this beautiful novel
that illuminates the intricate mother-daughter bond and
explores the enduring links between past and present

Dining with Friends
If you enjoy casual dining, cooking and eating good food with friends and neighbors, Dining with Friends is the group for you. And you don’t have to be a gourmet cook to join! How does it work? An organizer / primary hostess has been chosen for each of the winter months (below). A second hostess has also been chosen should the number of participants exceed 6 or 8 people. The primary hostess plans the menu and each participanting couple selects the portion of the meal that she / he will prepare. It’s that simple. The host couple provides wine, beer or mixed drinks before dinner and coffee afterwards. The cost of the ingredients purchased, including the dinner wine is divided equally among the couples. students discuss at institutions like the Harvard Business

Fishing Club
The VillageWalk Fishing Club is composed of men and women who share an interest in fishing in Southwest Florida, as well as, other areas. (saltwater and fresh water fishing). The club meetings monthly and also sponsors fishing trips (charters and party boats) and educational speakers.
